The Gotham Center is sponsoring a directory of all the projects historically documenting New York City’s experience with COVID-19.

This is part of a larger effort, headed by the Gotham Center’s Director, Peter-Christian Aigner, and the Manhattan Borough Historian, Rob Snyder, Professor Emeritus at Rutgers University. The goal is to create a single digital home for new or existing work by organizations in all five boroughs, to avoid duplication, enhance visibility, better facilitate research, share resources and best practices, and create opportunities for partnerships.

The COVID-NYC Documentary Project is a multi-institutional collaborative that seeks to provide a clearinghouse for all the various efforts by museums, universities, libraries, neighborhood groups, and others to historically document New York City’s experience with the COVID-19 pandemic.
