South Street Seaport Museum

South Street focuses on the history of New York City as a leading port city. Exhibits, living history programs, educational activities, and actual historic ships and other artifacts. Also archival collections available for researchers (by appt only, call 212 748-8648). The museum also publishes a magazine on New York History generally.

Access: Apr-Sept: Daily 10-6 (Thur til 8); Oct-Mar: Daily 10-5, closed Tues
Fees: $6 adults, $5 seniors, $4 students, $3 children, members free. *Purchase tickets at 12 Fulton St. or Pier 16 ticketbooth.
