To facilitate public participation in thinking about the future of New
York City's past, the Gotham Center is posting "Business-Class
Hero," a review by Mike Wallace of the Hamilton exhibition
at the New-York Historical Society, along with some collateral
information about that exhibit and other historical developments
around town. We've also set up some discussion
boards where visitors can post their thoughts about the Hamilton
exhibit, about Wallace's e-pamphlet, and about the broader issue of
how New York's history should be presented to popular audiences. In
particular, we invite people to post ideas for exhibitions they would
like to see mounted at the New-York Historical Society, or any other
historical museum in the city.
