New-York Historical Society, 170 Central Park West
The New-York Historical Society offers a variety of exceptional group tours of our special exhibitions. Now individuals also can enjoy an in-depth exploration of the exhibition Bill Cunningham: Facades with one of our curator-trained docents. The product of an eight-year project begining in 1968, photographer Bill Cunningham documents the architectural riches and fashion history of New York City. Pairing models in period costumes with historic settings—in particular his muse, fellow photographer Editta Sherman—the photographs highlight the distant past as well as the time in which they were created.
Tickets are $26 for adults, $22 for Seniors and $8 for Members, and include museum admission. Tours meet in the Smith Gallery on the 1st floor of the museum.
