The Congress of Int’l Modern Architects (CIMA) presents 8 NY area architects engaged in active practice &/or research - Ashok Bhavnani, John M Johansen, William Katavolos, James Rossant et al - each leading a session covering cutting-edge technologies & techniques apropos to the principles of excellence in modern architecture, as defined by CIMA, e.g. social, cultural & environmental relevance; attention to functional needs; structural integrity; the use of the latest technologies; & the aesthetics of fine art. Possible uses of the latest scientific developments not yet applied to architecture -such as nanotechnology - are covered. AIA cont’g ed credits eligible sessions.
