Re: donna summer

Truely a staple of my youth growing up in the 70's/80's. And I can't remember ever hearing a bad thing about her.
Thanks for the memories, rest in peace.

Re: donna summer

She was a good singer, and a good person as well. She was one of my favorites back then.Disco was very lively music, and I always enjoyed it,and she was the Queen. RIP Donna.

Re: donna summer

When I was a young single man, I was into R&R only, listened to wnew and wplj. Late one night on my way home from who knows where, for some reason I tuned into wktu to see what all the hubbub was about this disco "crap." Well, the first thing I heard was Donna Summer "Last Dance."
I was blown away. It was great.
I left the station on the rest of the ride home, and began to like some of the other things I heard. Late the next night on my way home from who knows where else, I did it again. This ride I heard "She Works Hard for the Money" and "Hot Stuff" and listened to ktu the whole ride again, and enjoyed it. I continued this late night practice for the rest of that summer.

Thank you Donna Summer for opening a young mans mind to a genre of music he previously thought he hated.
