A tree grows in brooklyn

A woman from N.Y. who was a liberal  ,a tree hugger and anti hunter, purchased land in Colville WA. There was a large tree on one of the highest points in the tract.   She wanted a good view of the natiral splendor of the land, and climbed the big tree.   As she neared the top,she was attacked by a spotted owl.   In her haste to escape, the woman slid down the tree to the ground and got many splinters in her crotch.   In pain ,she rushed off to the E/R.. She told the doctor ,she was an enviromentalist, and a anti hunter  a liberal from N.Y.and how she came to get all the splinters..The doc listened with great patience and told her to wait in the examining room and he would see if he coild help her.  She sat, waited 3 hours before the doctor returned. The angry woman demanded ,"what took you so lpng"?  He smiled and said. well I had to get permits from, the EPA,  the Forest Service, and the Bureau of Land Management, before I could remove old- growth timber from a "recreational area" so close to a waste treatment facility..Then I found that due to the new health care system, you've been turned down.
