Helen Thomas

I would like to ask a question and seek opinions to what I am sure will be controversial. It was announced today that White House corrospondent Helen Thomas will be "retiring" from her position because of a remark she made regarding what she thought the Israeli"s should do regarding their occupying a portion of Palastine.

As I understand this Ms. Thomas was asked this question by a rabbi during an interview. Ms Thomas is of Lebanese descent.

Ms. Thomas who turns 90 in August was ask a question, and gave an answer. She is a columinst, not an elected official. I have no interest in replies that are political that is not the nature of my question. I am aware of what the question was and her answer.

I understand she apparently offended people by expressing her opinion but she was asked for it and isn't that what America is all about? Isn't that what Rush Limbaugh is paid $44 million dollars to do? Isn't this what Bill O'Reilly does every evening and scores of others?

Your comments please. Thaank you

Re: Helen Thomas

I understand your point, boatcaptain, but Ms. Thomas was a columnist and as such should not have given her opinions under any circumstances. In this day, when every word is blown out of proportion, it is a lesson for all those in the media, please do NOT give your opinion, just report the facts!
Ms. Thomas has had a long distinguished career in journalism which has come to an unfortunate end.
How sad for her at age 90!

Re: Helen Thomas

I apologise for the misinformation.  I mustve had a reason for thinking she was 59 last year... cant think what it was.  Her youthful appearance should have given it away.

Im sorry Helen Worth.  Happy topless 59th birthday.  Again.

Helen Worth Topless.
