A question on Jeopardy! tonight reminded me of an amazing tail about Scarlett the Cat rescuing her kittens from a fire in Brooklyn. I did a search on her and virtually every website I found recycled her story almost verbatim. Would anybody know WHERE in Brooklyn this blaze was? street address? neighborhood? anything?
Ladder 175 responded. They're housed with the equally renowned Engine 332 at 165 Bradford Street, between Atlantic and Liberty Avenues, ZIP 11207. Perhaps firemen there will remember the exact location of Scarlet's rescue.
