I contacted the Flower Fifth Avenue Hospital in New York last summer about medical records and prior to that I had contacted them about 8 years ago -
Unfortunately, 8 years ago I got the wrong person and the wrong information - as this time I spoke to a very nice lady in Administration who told me the medical records were destroyed in 2005 - even though the law say that these records only have to be kept for 7-10 years in some states.
I suggest you call or write 212.360.1000 -http://www.catholichealthcaresystem.org/tcc.html
If you get a negative response try again - some of these people have no clue what they are talking about and some of them are great and patient and will assist you as best they can. Because I got the wrong answer I gave up to easily and now my records have been completely destroyed. But if the files are destroyed, the person I spoke to said they do have index cards to verify some information - and employment records might be in a warehouse offsite --- good luck :)
