Not so hot when I was a kid. But it became great when I had kids of my own, & now grandkids.

mango-same here. Some years me and my brother had to bargin with the local Produce merchant on a skimpy Christmas tree. Very simple gifts-Record LP,scarf,tie or colone.
We were greatful that we all had good health.

Boy how times have changed!

I still remember getting my first record player I received as a Xmas gift. I also got a couple of records to go with it. One of them was Gene Autry singing, Rudolph the red nose reindeer and the other, I saw mommy kissing Santa Clause.
