I graduated from George Jr. Republic in 1996. I only attended GJR for my senior year. I never heard of the currency program mentioned above. I do remember taking a personal finance course that taught you how to write a check and balance a check book. This course was a requisite. I scoffed at the course saying it was common sense, but I now understand the significance. This may be an updated version of the currency program of the early 1920's designed to reflect today's world. I also saw women posting on this board stating they attended GJR. As far as I know, it is not a co-ed environment, anymore. I hope the lady who created the currency program gets to hear that it has morphed into a required personal finance course. GJR forced me to graduate high school. I probably would have dropped out if not for GJR. I am now Assistant Vice President of a Mortgage Corp in Manhattan.
